Can I be fired from my job, or lose my security clearance, over a DUI conviction?

 

A: Yes, depending on your company policies, you may be required to report your DUI conviction to HR. The conviction must also be reported if you have a security clearance which may then be denied or terminated. Licenced professionals may also have their liceses suspended until after the completion of a rehabilitation program.
